SPARTAN HISTORY
FRHC Spartans began playing in 2022/23 winter season in the Premiere Hockey League (PHL) with the U15 Division. Our first season was one of growth and development not only from the front office side, but from the coaching and player development side. This special group of individual players and families grew a lot and won the U15 Minor Championship
2023/24 Season U13 U15 and U16 teams announced and playing in the PHL for a second season. U16 team is one of the first in the PHL. The Spartans were fortunate to have 5 of our U16 players get a call up to the CAJHL to play with Vegreville Vipers and the Southern Alberta Mustangs this year. Cash Fleming also got to play with the Vegreville Vipers for their playoffs and helped win their first championship.
2024/25 Season will see us return in the U13 U15 ages. The Spartans will add the U18 team for the season and not have U16 for this year. We will join the PHL for a third season of action. Our U15 team won the U15 Minor Championship.
