PLAYER DEVELOPMENT IN A POSITIVE LEARNING ATMOSPHERE
FRHCS Spartans is an elite hockey development program based in Edmonton and surrounding areas. We believe working with young athletes is more than just developing hockey players, but developing skills that will transition into their everyday life. We base our program on skill development and character building. Our development program consists of intensive skill development, power skating, off-ice strength and conditioning sessions with certified strength and agility coaches, as well as certified and experienced coaching staff of former elite hockey players. You can expect more skill development for your young hockey player in three months than most minor hockey programs will give you all season.
Since 2022, the Spartans have, and continue to change how we look at hockey. The Spartans are family first, address coaching issues, and make it affordable for players to play while still being competitive. We select players based on their skills, potential, and character. We are more than just on ice development and ensure our players are held accountable and show off ice character in all we do. We are always continuing to raise the bar every year.
- U15/U18 will play full contact
- U13 will play modified contact
- 26 Week Program End August - End of March
- 70+ Hours of on-ice practice time
- Hitting and Contact training provided by qualified instructors
- 10+ Hours of 3rd Party Skill Development (Goalie and Players)
- 10+ Hours off-ice strength & conditioning sessions with certified strength and agility coaches
- 26+ league games inside of 7 showcase weekends for U13
- 26+ League games inside of 7 showcase weekends and a midseason Tournament for U15/U18
- Goalie Development with 3rd Party goalie coaches
- Coaches are certified, experienced and former elite hockey players
